Unfortunately, he was too late he found the Chancellor killed by Lucian's hand, and he was subsequently murdered as well. Cast Spirit Vision and speak to Raedalus's spirit to learn that he wanted to speak with the Chancellor in hopes of finding a "God-King" to sever his Godwoken bond so he can be free to live with Taryan. Once you unlocked the door, head inside for 27,900XP (this XP will be granted upon activating the lever instead if you chose not to lockpick the door) and 41850 Exploration XP. Activate the lever on the right side of the locked door.Activate the Unusual Tablet (named Inconspicuous Contraption after activation) in the south-east side of the room. ![]() Press the button on the eastern pillar.Step on the pressure plate next to the fallen Ancient Depository in the middle of the room. With a high enough thievery skill, you can simply lockpick it and the door will open (Note: in Definite Edition at least, the door cannot be lockpicked at all), but if not, you will have to activate the following doodads in the Library in order: The Spirit of Taryan's lover, Raedalus, is in the Forbidden Library, close to where she is. Speak to her to learn that Lucian the Divine murdered everyone in the Academy in his quest to become Divine, including possibly her lover, Raedalus. At the northern end, there is a spirit by the name of Taryan Graye. In the Academy Library, cast Spirit Vision, and you will find lots of spirits wandering around. The ghost of Taryan Graye is seeking her beloved, who may have been killed. Congratulations to the team behind that feature.Unscholarly Pursuits is a Quest in Divinity: Original Sin II. Overall, the system has flaws, but I still consider it the strongest point of the game, and it really gave me an old school vibe. I was pretty sure that that particular event should've happened eaerlier, when we were strangers still, and that I just completed it too late, therefore making it weird. Lohse even said that she didn't cared about our fate at all. excuse me, what? I just saved your royal ass, wtf.Īt one point, after Lohse said that she was very lucky of meeting me and Sebille cried in my shoulder, all the NPC talked in group after an event and assured that we were nothing more than random people who didn't cared about each other. ![]() Yet after the fight he left the group and had to reload. Not to mention, in the part where you find the Red Princess, I tried to prevent him from going to the cart with her, revealing that the whole thing was in fact a trap. But eventually he learns to treat me as an equal, with respect, yet his lines transform when arriving Arx and again he's all like "Mpf, you want an audience?". He always acted like a spoiled brat, and that's ok. Then, in the following chapter, she went back to the "What is it?" cold lines, and never mentioned our encounter again. Eventually, Sebille became my sweethearth, and it was very well done (a little too sexual for my taste in medieval fantasy, I would rather have it more like Aerie or Jaheria, but it was very good nevertheless), and at that moment, every time I talked to her, she responded with a "Yes, my dear?" or similar lines. At first we were all like just prisoners, but sometimes we treated as friends. Yet, what buggers me is the inconsistency that happens sometimes. In fact, the only reason I would ever play this game again is to experience each of the storylines from my point of view, check the rest of the stories, and experiment with weird combinations. I have to admit that the companions system is awesome and reminded me a lot to BG2. Some folks spend a lot of time on building up their teammates' specs/gear and having one walk away just because of a dialog choice would be enraging. I'm going to go ahead and attribute this to the fact that if all the toons played their real attitude then the party would rapidly split up and that would be crazy annoying to deal with. Is it just me? Or am I missing something here. Seems to me that regardless which Origin Character you select as your main, the others suddenly become Goody-Two-Shoes when it comes to earning/accumulating the Attitude stat as opposed to their overall alignment attitude when they're the main. Except when those same origin characters are your companions. ![]() And it entails your Companion's attitudes toward your main.įrom what I've seen experimenting with a few different mains, every Origin character seems to have a heavy bent towards the chaotic or evil. But I have a question who's answer doesn't seem to be entirely obvious. So I've been playing for nearly a full day.
